Liz has worked with many of these sites for decades - walking the rows, watching each season unfold and understanding every block’s personality.We select these vineyards for their character and proven ability to produce quintessential Hunter expressions. The winemaking is restrained and site-led, allowing each wine to tell its own story with texture, purity and a true sense of place.
Blackberry is one of the Hunter’s truly special Semillon sites. Its sandy creek-bed soils naturally produce bright, finely structured fruit with beautiful line and tension.In youth, the wines are crisp and mineral with a saline edge; over time, they evolve into the classic beeswax and toast characters that define great aged Hunter Semillon. It’s a site with a clear voice - our role is simply to let it be heard.
